Case Studies – We would like to share some examples of candidate success stories. These candidates were not considering a job change when we first contacted them.
CASE 1Mr. A (in his 40s)
Our client is a global digital marketing automation solution building a winning sales team in Japan. With Japan as a key market for their business expansion the company needed to find strong sales people with experience and passion for digital marketing automation. Since the company is not so famous in name, it is difficult for them to get people from their competitors.
We focused our search on domestic software resellers where we found Mr. A, who has experience selling this type of solution into the target industries. Mr. A was interested in the new opportunity as he understood the strength of our client’s business. Mr. A accepted an offer to join them and was able to increase his annual salary from 7,000,000 to over 12,000,000.
CASE 2Mr. B (in his 50s)
Our client is a global manufacturing and industrial software company. The client was looking for a new leader to revamp their sales organization and grow their business in Japan at a more rapid rate. This is an opportunity for a Sales Director to become a Country Manager. We approached Mr. B to find out more about his background and motivations, since we knew he was in a position that could be well-suited to take this challenge.
After interviews and leadership presentations, the client made an offer to Mr. B to become their new Japan Country Manager. Mr. B is now successfully growing the Japan business and has doubled the responsibility of his previous position. His success at his new job has also allowed him to greatly increase his personal income.
CASE 3Mr. C (in his 40s)
Our client is a global online service provider looking to scale their business in Japan. In order to support their growing sales team the pre-sales organization needed a leader. Since this is rather a niche area we approached Mr. C who was working at a large company with a competitor product line.
Mr. C was unsure at first if changing to a competitor was a good move for him, although he was intrigued enough to engage in discussions. After meeting with many people from our client and learning of the new and future opportunities, Mr C accepted an offer and is now heading up the growing and successful sales engineering team for all of Japan.
CASE 4Ms. D (in her 40s)
Our client is a customer experience and content management solution company that was in need of sales leadership. Since the sales team was quite small we needed to balance our client’s high expectations for sales leadership experience with a candidate’s desire for career development.
Ms. D has a very strong track record in sales and leadership, although she had yet to be given the chance for formal team management. Our client recognized her as a high-calibre sales professional with strong leadership potential. She joined and is now responsible for a growing sales team. Female sales leadership in Japan is still rather uncommon so this was a great chance for client and candidate to make great steps forward together.
